A 1/4" torque wrench will arrive at the nearby O'Reilly Auto Parts tomorrow, and then I'll change the mower blade. It'll also be handy for a couple of other things (where I should have used one but didn't). After reading reviews this one seems reliable and doesn't break the bank. This is me hunting around locally and not ordering on Amazon.

This week has been one of phone calls to solve mysteries. Insurance and pharmacy stuff so far, but there are a couple of others to make tomorrow. They've all concluded in my favor. There seems to be a gremlin in the system at the pharmacy.

The analog part of the day has been discovering how many store shopping bags were stored beside the dryer and how much spare hardware (the unused bits in small plastic bags that come with projects) is here. I think a box of this stuff needs to be offered on Freecycle for the fix-it types (I already have more than I can use on a couple of shelves in the garage). If I get rid of the bin where all of this stuff was stashed does that mean I'll do a better job of keeping it under control? And where would that be?

At a red light this afternoon I was positioned to hand a bottle of water and cash to a panhandler. The bill was tucked into a pocket and the bottle immediately opened for a big drink. Water for now, cash for a meal later. There are so many people living rough these days, and so little empathy in our government to make services available.
