You know that cupboard that has jars and cans full of leftover nuts and bolts and screws and adjustors and trim and shims and picture wire and hooks and other oddball hardware? Where you scrounge to find a piece to fix something and then stuff it all back in the cupboard? That's what got cleaned out this evening. The result is the multi-drawer caddy organized and several containers have been retired or repurposed. (Must also do that in the garage with the bins out there - but that's for another day).
The shelf under the cupboard had several plastic baskets with things like extra light bulbs, packages of clothes pins, rolls of twine, wiring kits (for data ports around the house), spare gardening gloves . . . you get the drift. Those can also be compressed and organized and that will happen when the shelf is returned after the painting is finished.
A lot of stuff went into the trash and two bags, one with various screws, the other with nuts and bolts, are in the box to be donated to the teachers' project. They have a lot of stuff for building sets for theatrical arts, so hardware should be welcome, even modest amounts of it.
