Rail has big problems and Govts with big ideas run into big financial mistakes

Estimates on costs continue to get bigger and part complete jobs STOP

Railway tickets costs are out of control and London is a different planet ~ I would not live in London for all the tea in China

Franchising is bad idea too ~ in the end profit will be eroded by cheating on employees pay and health and safety

Water will still have to employ the same staff no matter Nationalised or Private and the existing set up MUST address the failings in water safety NOW ~ no time for messing with ownership and tax payers will clearly groan at funding or buying out shareholders

Make the current set up work and change the shares to fixed interest whatever

Shareholders must take their risk for getting excessive returns in the past and accept changes to their stake holdings in the future
