Went to bed depressed from tiftin' with Wife, woke up worse as I have to fire a couple people{whom I like} as thieves today. Opened the Ian and Slyvia thread to see what was new, read Joe's response, went to the Slyvia bio, from there to folk classics, to Eric Anderson, and tripped over "Thirsty Boots". Damn, I'd forgotten that one, how many more? Typed title into DT search and got the lyrics. From the forum, a refresher on the chords, got out the Martin, and found my fingers finding the bass lines like I'd never played them before, and transposed to G, my voice fit in well. What a wonderfull if somewhat dated song. Anyway, though my life isn't any better, my mood sure is. Can't wait to surprise my best friend with this song that he introduced me to 35 years or so ago.
