Hmmm. Forgot to mention:Mike Cross
Tommy Thompson
Tom "Harley" Campbell
But I have to say that if the measure of an artist's worth is the number of other people who record their songs, I'd have to believe that the greatest _living_ _folk_ artist (leaving out such as the Beatles and Dylan) is Bruce "Utah" Phillips. By my count, he has over twenty of his songs recorded by other people, right up there with Woody Guthrie, and Malvina Reynolds. And I'd have to agree with that assessment if anyone put a gun to my head and forced me to pick one amongst the many, many fine ones we have.
