Hummingbird, are you sure the slashes are the right way round? So it isn't D/B, ie. a D-chord with a B in the bass, played x20232?

As well as Mooh's suggestions, two more B/D chords you can try are x54447 (barre IV) and x54477 (barre IV, barre VII with little finger) which'll have a different sound again.
