Actually, Mark, that song was exactly what I had in mind when I wrote the thread title -- and I'd been meaning for a long time to get the words somewhere. I have that one on Emmylou's "Angel Band" cd -- or maybe another of hers, now that I think of it. Anyway, happy to have the words in my files.

I'm definitely planning on going to Greece in October and don't know if I can swing a trip to the UK as well, but I'm aiming in that direction. (Going to Greece to help friends with their olive harvest on Crete. Does that sound too cool, or what? Anyone know any olive smashing songs?)

re. the songwriting: should I be concerned if lyrics are all i'm 'getting' right now? As much as I've sung, you'd think melodies would be tripping all over eachother up there in my head ... ww
