I use WS_FTP LE to maintain two sites. My ISP gave me all the necessary info. They have it set up so that when I log on (have to know user name and password) I have to change the remote directory (the one at my ISP) to the public directory, then ~username. Bernard's advice would have saved me many hours if I had known it earlier.

I do one thing that one very knowledgeable person told me is unnecessary....When I modify a page, I have to open it on my computer...if I try to open it from the FTP program it just sends it (or something.)
