I can see why they might want something re-recorded in stereo to put on the soundtrack of a film ("seeing why" doesn't mean I think it makes any sense, but I can see why they might think it does) - but putting one version on it for the sound track cinema, and another for the CDE of the sound track - no way anyone can see that as making sense.

I suppose when the VHS video comes out there'll be a third version. And for the DVD a fourth one.
