I also have a PA problem. I am a solo acoustic singer/guitarist (my guitar does have a pickup so it can be plugged in). Now I'm limited to gigs where there is already a sound system, or else the venue is small enough so that no sound system is needed. But I want to invest in a sound system compact enough that it fits in the car and I can carry, simple enought so that I can set it up myself, and that doesn't cost too much (I don't have a very big budget). I looked on the "Musician's Friend" site and they have some for under $600 that seem to fit the bill - but I don't know whether the sound would be okay. I have never gotten very involved in the technical aspects of sound systems and am pretty clueless.
