I don't think this will help but further to Stewie's comment about Houseman, there is a definite ring of Keats about the words as well, particularly his "The Eve of St.Agnes":

St.Agnes' Eve - Ah bitter chill it was!
The owl, for all his feathers, was a-cold;
The hare limp'd trembling through the frozen grass,
And silent was the flock in woolly fold.

And they are gone: aye, ages long ago
