Peter has a good point, a Canadian stiffy needs to be put out of his misery. Amerigin seems to have acted with best intentions. He done his American heritage proud although the American Rifle Association may whine over a missed opportunity.

The part that troubles me is the Canadian heading outside the fence when Amerigin let him out to do potty. The Canadian must have been ill. A healthy, sociable Canadian would have headed for his Amerigin's room.
