Since when did "A Soldier's Song" - more correctly "Amhrán na bhFiann"- become an "Irish Folk Ballad"?
Judging by your soubriquet, you are a native of the Irish Republic and , therefore, should know better. When was the last time you heard "La Marseillaise", the French National Anthem, described as a "French Folk Ballad"?
