Ummm...MAV..."Socialist" Canada? While we are a tad more socialist (thank God...) than the USA, primarily in that we have a socialized health care system, Canada is largely a capitalist society. Big private enterprise, mostly American-owned, runs Canada, from the top down, and controls every major political party in the country, with the vaguely possible exception of the NDP (our only socialist party), which doesn't have a dog's change in hell of forming a national government, although they have formed a number of provincial governments from time to time...once Ontario, several times out west.

Canada is slightly socialist, but mainly capitalist.

Our elections are pretty reliable in terms of accurate counting...
