I really don't understand Clint's response to my statement that the only point to life is to help each other. I'm quite aware that there is incredible suffering in the world and so is Clint. The only adult response to that seems to me to be to firstly make a personal commitment that you will try not to add to it and then to do whatever is in your power to lessen that suffering.

It doesn't mean that you are ever going to stop suffering - after all we're all going to die sooner rather than later whatever happens. But that doesn't absolve us of the responsibility to do what we can.
