I speculate he is a latent homosexual because latent homosexuality in some "straight" men, including sexual feelings towards men that they find frightening or repugnant (usually because they have been raised to think gays or "evil" or "unnatural"), causes them to display homophobic behavior, and Clinton seems very much a textbook case. I think he should read up on it; might help him understand himself better.
