unless they have improved a lot in recent years, I don't like the felt that Oscar Schmidt puts on their instruments...it is soft, and the strings gradually make grooves in it until they buzz and don't work. If you a nice stiffer felt like I refer to above, you will not regret it.. The bars I put it on are still fine after 20 years. (but, maybe there IS a choice now at Oscars)
