It's the stupid thing's eyebrows that kill me. I do, at the risk of becoming serious, often ask myself why anyone smart enough to write programs can be convinced that a person laboring over a hopefully "creative" writing project can be helped by having gratuitous distractions on the very same screen. If you think the paper clip is bad--you know there are options, including a red happy face?? Do these guys think the whole WORLD is on meth??? But they do win the Nobel Prize for perfection because their version of HELP is perfectly useless. I long for the days of Word Perfect for DOS, on which I could actually lay out a page the way I wanted to. Oh, just try abbreviating "northeast" sometime, and see what Mister Paper Clip does. I think Joan supplied the codes for this part of the program.
