I had my place reposessed once. After losing everything the building society sent me a cheque for £1, some legal requirement to do with the leasehold. That hurt more than anything. I've still got it somewhere... never cashed it. Things took a good turn after and I/we have been on the up ever since. Hope you soon find a place and you are on the up and up too.
