Mary, content is important but it is only useful if people can find it (easily). I can think of one web site I have visited that contains a wealth of information but it is presented in such a way, I wouldn't mind betting that a large percentage of visitors just leave.

Morty, one suggestion I heard given to students that you may find useful or at least interesting is to visit some web sites that you really like and try to work out what (in addition to content) they have that makes them good to you.
