Stirling Renaissance festival (www.sterlingfestival.com) is considered a pretty good place to work - it's a little out of the ordinary - and I'm told it looks REALLY REALLY good on a resume. (Though I have no idea what their payscale is like for tech/stage crew people - or if they have any positions open.)
