There may be something like that here for first time home-buyers, not sure I would qualify (my student loan was in default some years ago and so my credit is a bit messed up).

I did NOT get that apt. I am so depressed. I almost went to look at a BASEMENT apt. today. Finally called to cancel. I...just..could..not...do..it.

I might try to get something farther out from the city and rely on the Commuter rail...and say goodbye to my social life. This process is demoralizing.
