MTed:Not really--just at a time, especially in New England, when traditional music (as opposed to Big Band, crooner, urban folk, and even slick country), was virtually unknown, this director assumed any farm-field-animal song was interchangeable with any other, especially if one was hard to pronounce. And, to a degree, he had a point: if I were staging SRA soon, I'd go look for a few beter songs than the script suggests.
