I saw an article that suggested that the commemorative quarter that honors Florida should depict a Cadillac with its turn signal blinking incessantly. I suppose it's wrong to generalize, but I think a large number of people in Florida are those who have left their homes and their reality to find a perfect, sterile retirement environment. A sterilized David seems to fit what they're seeking.
My parents moved from Wisconsin to Florida in 1982. I like to think they're a little more rooted in reality than the typical Florida retiree, but there are many times my folks cause me to wonder.
