Ahoy, all!
I'm using the computer in the lobby of the Best Western Camden riverhouse Hotel here in scenic Camden, Maine where my RAFG (Responsible Adult Female Guardian), Daughter, her Friend Kyle an I are spending the night after a family outing. After explaining to the Manager what we were about, as they get a few musicians through here with more than a passing interest in the lore of the Sea, she extended an invitation to use the conference room here should we ever want to do this in Camden some time. It's big enough for around 25 comfortably i'd say, but a little "sterile" compared to China Seas. I'm thinking rain backup for an outside thing perhaps. She also suggested the Opera house & gave me a local contact well connected with Camden area resources. It gets kind of crazy up here in the Summer, but will file this info away for future refference.

Sorry about the confusion on date - don't have a calender right here but the 26th sounds about right - the Sat. of Memorial Day Weekend. And 1600 it is; hopefully I can get down there early enough to help clear decks - but my being anywhere on time, much less early, is usualy a miracle in itself!

Kendall: if you can get Gordon in tow...

We're not worthy;

We're not worthy;

We're not worthy;
(My sentiments anyway, if not of all)

But haul 'im in anyway!! He'll be most welcome and appreciated!
As to what we might bring, etc., let's keep one another posted. I'm open to suggestion. Do we have anything like a head-count yet?
Kendall: Could you please bring more of your "Beginner's Luck" CDs? Cpt. Steve is interested in some and I think a few others may be as well.
OK Lads, here's a teaser (details to follow):
While dining in a Camden eatery today, saw poster advertising for Crew to man a 122' 18 gun Sq.Topsail Schooner the LYNX to be launched in ME this Summer, sailing South down East coast to Carrabian then 'round the Horn (I assume) to Pacific.. all in authentic 1812 garb & gear in carachter as working Living Historians - U.S. Privateers. I WANNA GO!!!! (Mamma won't let me!:>{( ) Hell, I hardly know my dolphin striker from a poop-deck anyway... "Kranky"; according to all yer credentials, you could start as the first Mate & work yer way up! Tell the Capt. what 'e's full of & which way to steer, & how to do it right. I can't fathom how they would know which sail to put up first without your sage counsel on deck. But first come t' Portland & show us all how a real Sea Chanty is properly to be sung, won't ye?
I for one will be lookin' forward tae it!
