I know we had a thread on electric keyboards a while back.. this is different in that I am not looking for a basic model.

I am wanting to buy an electronic keyboard with a built in MIDI file player. My poor old Yamaha is on it's last legs........

Casio has one (CT 731)on the lower end of the price scale @ $850 Aus, the next up is a Roland EM-50 @ $1300 Aus.

I have not been happy with the sound of Casio's before, have they improved? and am I just being a snob for not liking the name? eg is it worth the extra $400 to get the Roland name?

Has anyone else tried any of these? or can recommend anything good at the lower end of the price scale?
