A query put to friends and correspondents in the UK, especially those in Cornwall and Mid- and South Wales:What is the status of the public footpaths these days? I'd read encouraging things in the Forum recently about some paths being re-opened as the immediate danger of foot-and-mouth dims with the advent of warmer weather. Anyone know the latest for Kernow and Cymru?
My wife and I spent many magical days treading these paths, coastal and inland alike, over the past couple of years and were heartsick to read of their closing. Any updates are greatly appreciated!
