I used to attend Union Grove Fiddlers Convention for the above years and maybe more. Me and my banjo have had some high old times there. I was familiar with Demon Rum in those days and knew no strangers.

At night I used to take my banjo up to the Hippie camp(in and around a small barn on the hill), and join in. The core of these people were real hippies, the rest were weekend hippies. Everybody wanted to pick and sing, usually "Jessie James". I don' think they knew another.
