Since the arrival of Click Easy PeanutLinux MS has been squirming and twitching under the obvious fact that it is no longer a monopoly, added to this the fact that they seem to have hit the hardware wall at full speed. Even at 55 mph that is quite a crunch.

Ironic but true it is not the CPU nor Memory not even speed that has squished MS but the lowly telephone wire.

Then when that gets upgraded, maybe by 2099 lol, they will then be dealing with Multimedia and not databases for corporoworld. But then by that time the nasty Peguin will be ahead of them in this arena too.

Multimedia technology evolves faster than MS would like but hey why make a device that needs SW to get done what can be Hardwired into it cheaper? Besides this way is faster and far better.

Older versions of Winderz are creating problems too since when made MS was still looking at the rapid HW growth curve, meanwhile nothing much happened. The 2000 winderz for example is MAC on a PC for example but then if you do a lot of wordprcoessing would you need to upgrade? OSR2 has all the bells and whistles you'd need. Then there was Netscape which still causes serious sales shortfall, I mean why would anyone need MS Word when they have Netscape?

Big Blue gets even, after years of being a joke at MS Big Blue is about to erradicate MS off the face of the earth with a slam blam hot version of Linux already installed on their PC. If Linux continues to outperform winderz as it has in the past then Big Blue could be onto something.
