On this last Sunday, I spent an hour walking through the cemetery of a colonial church with a friend who was a chaplain in Vietnam--We talked about Kerrey the actions that were alleged, and then he told me something--they were out in the countryside when they came upon a hooch that had been the home of an officer in the South Vietnamese army--the VC had gone in with flamethrowers, roasting his wife, parents, and children alive, and then leaving their bodies out in the open as an example to everyone--

How do you think the same people would respond, if they'd known about that?
