Seems late 60's-ish to me, my memory smells of Tunisia (which would make it the 1969-70 school year, so the song is probably about a year or so older than that, given how long it might take things to wend their way to North Africa...) - very meaty beaty big & bouncy, but it sure wasn't The Who.

(Thread creep - remember the old vinyl album cover for Tommy by that band? I thought the album itself was about Tommy The Who. I once said something about that, and a sister said you DO know that The Who is the name of the band, and I said, for the first time in my young life - Yeah, I knew that!).
