I couldn't remember (Damn CRS!) whether anyone has posted this reference to their song index so I reprint their e-mail circular below:
Plymouth Libraries are delighted to announce the launch of PLS-Online, to be found at http://www.webopac.plymouth.gov.uk
The new services available include:
* Catalogue search by author, title and keyword.
Highlights of Plymouth's catalogue include: the largest collection of music performing sets in south-west England (and one of the largest in the UK);
books in the Naval Studies collection (thought to be the largest outside Greenwich);
rare ornithological works in the Moxon collection;
indexes to articles published in naval periodicals and local newspapers since January 2000.
* The Plymouth Song Index - one of the very few Web-based Song Indexes worldwide, with almost 60,000 song titles contained in 2,000 song albums, all available on ILL from Plymouth.
* Clubs and Societies - a database for Plymouth, SE Cornwall and SW Devon, searchable by topic and area.
* The Music Information Centre - a database of local music teachers and groups, searchable by instrument and name.
