It's interesting to hear all this stuff because it reminds me a lot of where my dad's been going with music over the past few years. He's always listened to and played a wide variety of music, from Steeleye Span and Mike Cross to Bruce Springsteen and Led Zeppelin (though his favorite band has always been Jethro Tull). These days, though, while he still listens to the heavy rock stuff, he's become more inclined toward the acoustic, right on down to making fun of me for my Led Zeppelin and Boston addictions. :) When I've asked, he just replies that "I've listened to that stuff for thirty years--it all starts to sound the same after a while."
