Only if you want to eat them.......if you want to hatch them put them in an incubator. There is this stuff called "water glass" aka sodium silicate, that you can put them in and keep them on the counter several months. I have done it, and it works. Should be available at your pharmacy/chemist. If you are interested, I'll look up the exact procedure.
If you don't refrigerate, you are going to get salmonella, and that ain't fun!
