I have just heard from the Tawneys the sad news that Tony is in Yeovil General Hospital (UK) following a sudden operation for cancer of the colon. He is about to receive a course of treatment over the next few weeks and has said he'd like to hear from people.

As you will have gathered from this thread and others, Tony is a fine traditional singer and musician, recently retired from teaching and he had started touring the UK again.
