One of my most endearing memories of Tony was at Whitby Folk Week, many years ago. At ceildhs they would have booked artists to do a song spot (to give the dancers and the band a break no doubt). Most singers would hate this as they were singing to a lot of people who just wanted to dance. So they would dive in, rattle off a couple of quick uptempo numbers and bugger off smartish. Not Tony. He got us to sit down on the dance floor in a sort of hollow circle, went to the middle, and did some really sensitive stuff. What a man!Hope you're better soon, Tony.
