This is Yorkshire, England we're talking about. I can recommend the place to anyone visiting our shore (what shores? Thanks very much I'll have a Guinness). It's amazingly picturescue, and home to England's premier folk family, the Waterson/Carthy clan (although you don't often see them at the folk weekend in June.If you haven't been to Bay (as it's known locally) before, you really should. The Folk Weekend is a bit of a free-for-all with sessions and singarounds in pubs and dance teams in the street. There may be a ceildh and a concert too, but we'll be in the pubs (so no change there).
And, of course, despite what a lot of people'll tell you, Robin Hood was a Yorkshireman. It was only the Evil Sheriff who came from Nottingham.**bg**
