Help, Patsy Cline aficionados -- I actually have the sheet music to this classic ditty, but as usual am stumped by one of the changes. To tell the truth, I am doing this in open D on the guitar, because I am perverse. Anyway, in the original (in G) it goes:
[G] He takes me to, the places [Gmaj7] and [Am7] I used to go [D7], He tells me over [Am7] and over [D7] that he loves me so [G], He gives me love, that [G7] I never got from you [C] he loves me too [???] his love is true [????][G?] Why can't [D7] he be you [G].
The sheet music has nothing happening in the places where the question marks are. Can anyone help fill in the space with something more interesting? I can then change the keys and muck around. Nothing really sounds right chordally.
yours, Peter T.
