Willio – your mind is folk-processing "Yangtse River;" the same version (well 99.9%) was sung before at the last China Seas gathering and I am the one who adapted this version from what Hamish wrote in SAILOR WITH BANJO, a sailors' folk opera, back in the 1920's. This song hasn't traveled that far since we've been working on it but I'm sure there will be more varients soon and that some ethnomusicologist will collect it with delight in the Falklands.
