I have a good friend who currently finds himself in a similar predicament. He is in love with a woman who is also his best friend. I have suggested to him he should tell her he's very attracted to her, which is the truth, but he says he would rather be her friend and suffer silently than chance jeopardizing their relationship. Maybe he's right, but I know I couldn't do it.
