Rick, I use an old (ca. 1987) Tascam 244 Portastudio. It is four channel, so with some judicious track bouncing, I can be a one man band. I've been pretty satisfied with the sound, even had one or two guys who are more knowlegable than I am comment that it sounded pretty good. I haven't tried any of the minidisc recorders. Are you going to be doing much or any overdubbing? Or do you just wnat something that sounds good where you only will be recording everything in one pass?
