Attention all blues, ragtime, bluegrass, old-timey, Cajun, Zydeco, Celtic, Calypso, Gospel, Appalachian, western swing, and other TRADITIONAL musicians!

The New York Pinewoods Folk Music Club cordially invites you to participate in our monthly traditional music open microphone, held the third Wednesday of each month. Next session: June 20, 2001.

Venue:

The Triad Lounge
158 West 72nd Street, near Broadway
New York City

Sessions run from 7:00 to 9:45 PM and begin PROMPTLY! Sign-up starts at 6:45 PM.

Admission is $5. Purchase of 2 drinks is expected. Everyone must pay, performer or not. Space includes a stage, a sound system, wait staff, and a bartender. Stage time: 2 songs or 8 minutes, whichever come first. If you are not one of the first 15 to sign up, you get to do only 1 song or 4 minutes, so get there on time!

While we bill this as a traditional music open microphone, please feel free to perform whatever music you wish to do, including contemporary singer-songwriter material. We are very accepting. However, this is one place where traditional musicians are both welcome and appreciated.
