I am writing a musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll's poem "The Hunting of the Snark" and I need a good song to go at the beginning. For those of you unfamiliar with the poem, a crew of English sailors are rowing a boat toward the shore. I would like for them to sing an upbeat, perhaps comical, nautical folk song while keeping time with the oar strokes. Can anyone help me with suggestions?
