I apologise if you felt that my post was inflamatory. I tried very hard to keep it as neutral as possible under the circumstances. But I do think it's good to remind people from time to time that when they post to the Mudcat, they are not carrying on a conversation with members of their own congregation, or with their friends in their own living room. I think it's easy to forget these things sometimes.

I don't have any particular religious axe to grind myself. I'm all for people believing whatever suits them. And I'm all for people respecting the beliefs of others.
