Yeah, Rick. What Fionn said. I love my Sony MZ-R37 (MD Walkman)! I recorded something like 80 hours of sound during the Adventure under (as you might imagine) a wide variety of conditions. It did extremely well as did the Sony Electret Condenser Microphone I used. In fact, I am hoping to compile some of the sounds from the Adventure into a CD that I will send to Max someday soon.You want to know the down side? Okay. You don't have the capability to play your recording so that others can hear it. Well, at least not instantly, unless you own a full sized MD player attached to your stereo system. Otherwise, you would need to download the sounds into your computer and then play back the files through the computer's sound system. Or you can use those files from your computer to create custom CD's that you can playback in a variety of ways.
Oh, were you aware that there are some editing capabilities with a MD?
