I can definitely state that that is not the Waylon Heron, but its singing cousin, the Placido Flamingo. The Waylon Heron was abducted by aliens from Betelgueuse some time ago, redirected to their nefarious purposes, and though there have been sightings (it was reported to have become the Historical Advisor to "Pearl Harbor") no definite reports are in hand. I received an urgent e-mail the other day that suggested that a bird answering to the name of Waylon was given birth to on the season finale of X-Files, but apart from it being a thing with feathers, there is no resemblance. In the meantime, Spaw and I, like the Little Prince and his fox, are concerned about his fate, which troubles us.
