I bought a Minidisk, a Sharp, last year as a personal hifi for use when cycling (yes, I know I shouldn't plug in when on the road, but I do). My wife 'discovered' it and tried it out for recording her singing lessons. Now I've lost it, she uses it all the time. No hiss, no rumble, near CD quality and random access in a tiny machine that weighs almost the same as my old Sony Walkman. Go MD you won't be disappointed.
