Just an afterthought on plugging in speakers. (I realise you'll be aware of this, Rick, but for the benefit of anyone who might not be...) VOlume on playback is regulated by both the minidisc and the speaker volume controls. Remember to turn one or other control down to near zero if you leave the speakers plugged in while recording, and if they are anywhere near the mic. Otherwise you risk feedback, which could interfere with the live show, as well as your recording of it.
