Hi Liz,

Ah, if only my life allowed me to schedule time that I can sit and play, let alone use Mudcat, Paltalk, or whatever. Those things in my life are catch as catch can (strange phrase thread candidate?). Jon is quite right as far as I am concerned. Frankly, I would rather play in a room than be Admin, but I do feel that I owe something back to those that put in the Admin time, so I open up every so often.

It is quite easy to set up a room, which you could do and host a regular time slot for catters. I would join as often as possible.

While at first some of the popular Live and Unplugged rooms seemed a little hectic, I have gotten quite fond of many of the people these. And, oh, what talent! Several catters are frequent visitors, and it is nice to be able to have a "sidebar" chat with those that you would normally only see in a thread.

I also cruise some of the other rooms...bluegrass, country, blues, etc. While many of the rooms are karaoke rooms (which I don't often care for), the people there seem to be having fun, and they also seem to appreciate a live musician popping in.

In the end, Paltalk does lack the intimacy of our former all mudcate hearme room, and, yes, there are times I miss that. Occasionally though, I find that I am in a room with Jon Freeman, Jacko, Margaret V, bugsy, Ivan, and a few others, and it is all the more special when it happens.

So hang in there. Explore Paltalk, and I am sure you will find a way to get great enjoyment out of it. In the meantime, I will continue to post when I open the room I have set up.

Thanks for your comments.
