Ah, the memories of the late 1960's. I was in Stutzman's guitar shop in Rochester NY, hearing how Martin was beginning to run into troubles because the post WWII demands on the guitar market led Martin to shorten their 20 year aging time for wood, and how this would catch up with them sooner or later. I'm told Mr. Stutzman was one of Martin's select customers, but if he received a guitar that wasn't up to his standards, he'd send it back to Nazareth, even then. There's no way I can verify any of this, I was just a college freshman buying my first guitar and listening to the shop talk.
